Mark and Kara Harper serve as Lead Pastors at Impact Rock Church, strongly adhering to the Biblical principles of Godly headship and “one flesh” team ministry. Mark passionately leads the Eldership at Impact Rock and oversees the preaching of the Word. Kara oversees the Worship Team, leading in lifting up the name of Jesus Christ and bringing IRC into the presence of God through praise and worship.
Having received confirmation from God and the local pastors whom they were serving under, Mark and Kara, along with their three children, planted Impact Rock Church on January 2, 2010. This church plant began with a dozen dedicated, Jesus-loving people who met in the Harper’s living room in Westminster, Colorado. By the end of May of that year, this young church had outgrown the confines of the living room and moved to Erie, Colorado. God had made it clear from the very beginning that the town of Erie was to be home to Impact Rock and that He would guide, direct and provide everything that was needed. And God has been faithful to His Word.
IRC will celebrate it’s fifth anniversary in 2015, and as a young church, God has been faithful in providing and raising up strong leaders to shepherd His people. In addition to it’s lead pastors, Impact Rock has two other couples on it’s eldership: Andrew and Kim Smith, and Brad and Kendra Ficek. There are 4 Deacons/Deaconesses who serve and minister with love, grace, power, and authority: Brian and Melody Kimberlin and Hawk and Deb Fjelsted.
Impact Rock Church believes in constantly raising up leaders who will lead in their marriages, homes, families, work places, neighborhoods, places of recreation and at Impact Rock. To accomplish this call, IRC holds Leadership Training Classes several times each year, to which the entire church is invited to attend.
